Yangon to Bagan – 4 Day Exploration: Flight Transfer

You will be picked up at your hotel by the tour guide and driver then discover the city.

Go downtown and see the architecture of the colonial constructions in the historic old capital. The history of design and their function will be presented by the tour guide.

The splendid Shwedagon Pagoda is the next stop. It is a golden pagoda located on the top of Singuttara hill surrounded by shining scenery. People believe that the pagoda kept the Buddha’s hair relics 2500 years ago. Nowadays, the pagoda is one of the most breathtaking religious architecture in the world and brings pride to Myanmar.

Then, return to your hotel in Yangon to take a break.

On the second day, we will travel to the airport and get on the plane to Bagan, which is always recommended by travel agents in Myanmar. Afterwards, you will experience an interesting Nyaung U Market to see the everyday activities of local people.

One day to discover the most famous pagodas in Bagan including Gubyaukgyi Temple, Ananda Temple, Htilominlo Temple, Thabinnyu Temple, Shwezigon Pagoda, Dhammayangyi Temple and Shwe Sandaw Pagoda, the highest pagoda of Bagan. Then take time to explore Myinkaba village and experience special handicraft-classical lacquerware. Overnight in a Bagan’s hotel.

At 8:30 am, we will take you from your hotel then start the adventure. We explore some attractive temples such as Dhammayangyi Temple which is the biggest one in Bagan and it is considered being constructed in the King Narathu dynasty.

Then, the next stop is Htilominlo Temple with three storey height over 46 meters with red brick. It is also famous for the elaborate plaster moldings. Four Buddhas facing different directions are located on the first floor. 

You can opt for a horse cart ride through the temples: 12 USD/cart (max 2 people).

Now, you can explore the Minnanthu village near central Bagan where you get an opportunity to get acquainted with kind and sociable people living in the traditional houses. They are typical in Myanmar countryside with an outdoor zone to gather, work and sleep.

You will remember all the interesting images of peaceful places where men and women work hard and have fun.

If you have enough time, visit the monuments constructed in later time such as Laymyatnar Temple, Nandaminnya, Tayokepyay Temple and Payathonzu Temple.

Then, travel to Nyaung U Airport for your flight to Yangon.

In Yangon, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

Optional circular train tour in the morning if the flight is in the afternoon:

Reaching Central Yangon Railway Station and catching the Yangon circular train. We will pass through towns, outskirts and 39 stations in 28-mile travel by train. This is the most interesting way to explore Yangon.

Now you can take a look at the people of Yangon and the interesting lifestyle in urban areas. Stop at Da Nyin Gone Station where we access the tour to a colorful local market. We will spend 45 minutes walking around, chatting and seeing real life in Yangon.

After that, we can stroll around the Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scotts Market) playing an important role in the city. The market is the most well known tourist attraction in Yangon and one of the value colonial buildings of the city.
