"Not only is the property stunningly beautiful and peaceful, but the staff here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome on our honeymoon. The room was very comfortable with perfect little details and a very admirable commitment to sustainability. The food was excellent (much of it coming from their onsite gardens) and both the dining room and bar are very impressive."

"The arrival to the hotel is quite beautiful. After a 30 minute boat ride cutting through houses on stilts and a wide lake you get to the hotel. It’s surrounded by lush vegetation floating on the lakes surface. Quiet does not describe it. First impressions were good. The rooms/villas were ok. Looking from a far they looked idyllic, inside though they need a little work. Don’t get me wrong they are not bad, just a little tired. The bathrooms could do with a shower. Inside each room is a fire. It gets chilly on the lake at night, so the staff light it at night. Although it warms the room, ventilation is not great. It’s one thing I’d ask the hotel to look into. Perhaps it’s an allergy I didn’t know I had to the bricks they use in the fire. The food was fresh. On a lake surrounded by farms you’d expect it to be. It did not disappoint. Service was always with a smile. Given where you are and how hard it must be to upkeep a hotel surrounded by water it was a great place to stay. I’d recommend it, but caution against the fire in the room. As for the setting of the hotel. Awesome. Quite stunning. See it now before the tourist trade cottons on to it."

"We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Everything here is amazing form the time you arrive to the time you leave. When approaching the hotel, boats have to shut down their engine to preserve the quietness of the place. Rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated. Each room has a private terasse overlooking the water. The SPA is brilliant, we had two massages to die for (try the head massage with oil). The pool is wonderful also and we spent an entire day there just relaxing! The restaurant serves delicious food and breakfast and lunch can be had on the terasse, again overlooking the lake. Sunset was beautiful also. Our daughter celebrated her birthday on one of the days and staff arranged a cake, wrote her a card and gave her a present. What a lovely gesture to make her feel special on her big day!"

"This was our favorite hotel in all of the hotels we stayed at in Myanmar. The hotel itself was located along a small tributary of Inle Lake The views from our lake front villa was breathtaking, the ambience very peaceful. Watching the sunsets from our deck was reason enough to come here. The lake was home to many different species of birds and the hotel provided binoculars and a local bird book which were nice touches. We were upgraded to house #302 and we were told by our guide that it was the best room in the resort. We couldn’t agree more. We had unobstructed views of the water. The staff exuded the warmth we came to enjoy from the people of Myanmar. The design was undeniably Burmese with modern amenities. Those wanting a more modern aesthetics may not like the wood-heavy design. We had a fantastic soaking tub and an outdoor shower. Note, though, that it can get quite cold in the morning and at night so an outdoor shower may not be enjoyable for everyone. The restaurant again had sweeping views of the water. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. The spa facilities were beautiful. The only disappointment I had was the lack of yoga despite the hotel website stating it was available. Overall, we highly recommend Princess without any reservations. Inle Lake was such a beautiful place that shouldn’t be missed."

"The real Burma is never more than a short walk from your accommodation in lots of places in Burma but here at the Lake Inle Princess Resort it is woven into everything they do. The spot is on the lake and lake life is there to indulge in from floating villages and elevated markets, farmlands, people and food, it was an immersion it the extraordinary food and a way of living. The resort is well placed for walks in the hills behind amongst the forest monasteries or trips to villages, markets via the river boats. The resort food is a celebration of local food and culture right down to the gift shop stocking locally produced high quality items. This place has an intimate feel and everyone is so personable that we found ourselves soon feeling we were at home with everything and while a lot was different nothing felt strange. A locally owned place with a local soul. Please go here."

"In our travels around the world we have found maybe 3 or 4 hotels where the atmosphere, natural beauty and peaceful surroundings have made us wanted to stay “in”as much as we could instead of visiting the sites . Inle Princess Resort is one of them."

"I can’t think of anything which could be done to improve this hotel! It deserves 6 stars compared to all my other 5 star ratings! We had a simply wonderful 3 night stay in one of the lake houses. Charming staff, stunning tranquil location and very well appointed rooms with balconies over the water. A complimentary mini bar, free water in refillable glass bottles and lots of other “green” touches. Rooms kept immaculately by lovely staff. Efficient laundry service. Our room even had binoculars and a bird book to enjoy the biosphere... And what a fabulous restaurant! Imaginative food beautifully presented. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough."

"Lovely resort, beautiful spacious rooms and great service. Enjoy sunset on the terrace by the lake. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet or a la carte depending on number of guests? If a la carte day, need to order the eastern option the day before. But an energizing place to stay."

"Situated on a quiet backwater with a rule that boats must cut their engines and paddle in. So a lovely peaceful setting. There is no choice for dinner in the evening other than the hotel restaurant, which is very large and hall-like. Food was good, but not outstanding. Lovely pool. Best rooms are lake front nearer to main buildings (looking west). Very nice room - but beware the step down into the bathroom. We liked the place so much that we had a discussion about whether this was in our ‘top ten all time hotels’. Conclusion was that it was close, but fell outside due to the restaurant design."
