Sitthaung in the graveyard of the few ships that was purposefully sunken by the British during the World War II so that the Japanese couldn’t get their hands on them. As evidence, the town here are full of colonial building as Irrawaddy Flotilla Company’s old offices still remains here.

The morning will be dedicated to a visit to Mawlaik – the former headquarter of the Bombay Burmah Trading company and old retreat for the British. The town has a green golf course surrounded by “Dak Bungalows” from a forgotten time.
The afternoon, on the cruise we will pass through the exit of the Yu River which drains from the Kubu Valley.

Mingkin is rather unknown to the tourists in general, but according Pandaw founder, Paul Strachan, it is most comparable and even has an edge over the crowded Bagan.
