In the morning, you will be greeted at the hotel and then transferred to the Irrawaddy River jetty to begin the cruise (bikes and helmets will be available there). The ferry boat will take you through the waterway to the Western banks of the river, which is also the place to set off pedalling.

Our biking journey will start with a visit to Myitche. There will be time to stop by the grand and colorful morning market here. You will also have the chance to visit a small village to see the process of weaving house wares from rattan (or cane) by the locals.

After that, visitors will start a 40-kilometer ride to Pakokku. The road will be plain and mostly on sealed tarmac. En route, you will be able to witness the local farmers planting, harvesting or processing the crops (depending on the time of the year), and you will even have the chance to stop and have a chat with them.

You will be in Pakokku at midday and have a lunch break in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will take a private boat back down the Irrawaddy River and reach Bagan after 2 hours. This is the time when you can put your feet up and marvel at the astonishing scene along the river. After arriving in Bagan, you will be taken back to the hotel.

Time: 08.00 am - 5.00 pm

Distance: 40 km (25 miles); 90% sealed, tarmac road; 10% dirt track
