Full Itinerary

Day 1

MANDALAY 

Transfer:

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

By midday, you will board on the cruise in Shwe Kyet Yet village to the south of Mandalay.
The first excursion of the cruise will include Mandalay’s best highlights and visit to various workshop and a family that specializes bronze casting.
Return back to the ship to enjoy the perfect blend of Asian and Western cuisine on board.

Day 2

AVA 

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy the early morning yoga session to breath in the spiritual essence of the country. Afterward, you can enjoy a rejuvenating glass from the Juice Bar.
 Afterward, leave the ship to participate in the Buddhist almsgiving ceremony. Then, walk around the nearby village to see the lively activity in the morning before return back on board and continue the journey.
When we reach Ava, you can either explore the area with our guide on traditional horse-cart or actively travel by bike.
Return by board, you can have a variety of activities such as a lecture about Myanmar culture, tea tasting, longyi or thanaka demonstration and fortune telling.

Day 3

BAGAN

An early morning mediation session are due this morning as it is an essential activity for Burmese people and anyone who seeks peace. 
After breakfast, there are three options of shore excursions that you can choose from:
•    “Introduction to Bagan”: This tour focuses on the temples and history.
•    “A Day in the Life”:  You can have a taste of life in the local village.
•    “Bagan by Bicycle”: Take on a more active role in the Bagan exploration.
Just before returning back to the ship, we make a stop in a small village right next to the Belmond’s private jetty and visit the free local clinic that is sponsored by Belmond.
Afternoon trip will begin with Ananda temple, one of the most well-known pagoda in Bagan. Then, the tour continues to a less-visited temple and discover the fresco and murals with torchlight. Finish the day sunset watching from an elevated view point.
Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the Observation Deck and afterward a traditional marionette show will be arranged for your entertainment.

Day 4

BAGAN

This morning, again you can have two tour options:
•    Take a trip to Salay, a charming little town on the south of Bagan by the shore of the river.
•    Stay in Bagan and discover further highlights of this pagoda dotted plain. You can have the chance to enjoy the classic horse-cart ride through the Bagan. Take part in the Belmond’s Social Contribution Project in Taung Be village.
The afternoon will be spent for Bagan exploration with a trip to Nagayon Temple and Seinnyet, a off-beaten and small temples complex with beautiful murals. Before returning back to the ship, we will make a brief stop in a little riverside temple where the spiritual candle lighting experience will happen.
Enjoy the dinner on board and the ship moors in Bagan.

Day 5

BAGAN

The day begins with a tour of your choices:
•    Explore the remaining religious sites in Old Bagan and sunrise experience.
•    Contribute to a community project by Belmond in a local village.
The afternoon will be spent at your own leisure or with various activities on board, tea tasting, longyi demonstration.
This evening, a gourmet dinner is served on board.

Day 6

MINGUN

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The morning will be spent on board sailing. A wide range of activities are offer such as morning yoga, meditation, introductory cooking class or presentation from in-house doctor about the community projects.
Reaching Mingun in the afternoon, you can either:
•    Discover the historical and the attractions with the guide.
•    Walk through the local village and interact with the curious residents.
There is a special traditional party where you are encouraged to wear traditional longyi and enjoy a drink.

Day 7

SHWE KYET YET

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today you spend the whole day on a long trip to the old British Hill Station where they used to travel to avoid the oppressive heat of Burma – Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo).
Arrive in town, embark on an elegant horse-cart and go around town like old time nobles. You will be rewarded with the sight from the colonial pastime – glorious country buildings and cottages.
Take a tour around the markets where you can find tribe people come here to trade and then the Kandawgyi Botanical Gardens that houses countless species of trees and flowers.
Return to the ship that docks at Shwe Kyet Yet for leisurely night. We dinner under the starlight as farewells are being trade and there will be a traditional show afterward.
