Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Mandalay and take you on a short drive to the Mandalay Jetty. Then you will cross the Irrawaddy River to Mingun on a private boat. The journey by boat from Mandalay to Mingun takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes and follows the upstream flow of the river. The return trip on the boat is downstream, so it will take approximately an hour.
When you get to Mingun, you will first go to the unfinished Mingun Pagoda (Mingun Paya), which King Bodawpaya built out of bricks.
