Full Itinerary

Day 1

Kalaw - Lamine - Pawke - Kone Hla - Pattupauk (L/D)

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

You will be picked up from the hotel at 8 o’clock to Lamine, a Danu village, which is 45-minute away then take a walk across Lamine and downhill (100 m) for half an hour with rice fields on both sides of the path.

Next, visitors will cross a small stream and travel upwards (about 200 m) for another half an hour. You will have the chance to witness marvelous views from the top and as well as beautiful setting when passing along the ridge for one hour to Pawke, a Pao village, which is 6 km away from Lamine.

Most Pao people’s main income is from growing rice, chili, sesame and potatoes. The next destination after Pawke village will be Konehla, a Danu village. The trek (3 km), which contains mostly rolling hills, will last for one hour. There will be a lunch break at a family house in Konehla.

After lunch, the trek will proceed with a 3-hour walk along a small path to Pattupauk (7 km). En route, you will be surrounded by rice fields and some pine trees on both sides.

In Pattupauk, you will have a little rest and wander around the village to gain an insight into how people make use of bamboo to make baskets. Dinner and overnight stay will be held at a local family house.

On day 1, you will have travelled about 16 km and 300 m elevation for 6 hours.

Day 2

Pattupauk - Nanyoke - Tonele’- Inle Lake (B/L)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

At 7 o’clock in the morning, visitors will depart for Inle from Pattu. You will travel on the even land for half an hour and then downhill (300 m along hillside) for one hour.

From here, you will trek upwards to Nanyoke, which is 200 m and 45-minute away. It is another Pao village and there will be a coffee break there. Then you will have a relaxing troll of 3 km for one hour with the view of some old banyan trees en route.

The path will begin to be rockier and you will also begin to see the lake from here.

The next destination will be a little jungle (3 km) 200 m downhill. The walk will last for one hour and you can relish the view of Inle Lake from here.

Finally, you will take a 30-minute walk to the bamboo forest (2 km) and then reach Tone Le’ for lunch. A small restaurant in the bamboo forest in Tone Le’ will be an ideal place to have a rest after the long trek.

After lunch, you can either choose to take a boat straight to the hotel or visit Nyaung Shwe, a town at the North-eastern shore of the Lake for about one hour and then arrive at the hotel from 3 to 4 pm.

For day 2, you will have walked 15 km for a total time of about 5 hours.
