Full Itinerary

Day 1

MANDALAY

Transfer:

Near the lunch time, you will check-in the cruise.
The shore excursion today begins with a trip to Ava. Begin a horse-cart ride to Menu Oak Kyaung Monastery built in the 19th century by the queen. Finish off the morning by a trip to Bagaya Monastery – an all teak monastery and are lacquered in black paint. 
Finishing the trip here, we continue to Amarapura, another old capital. Finish the day with a sunset boat trip on Taungthaman Lake (subject to the water level) by U Bein Bridge.

Day 2

YANDABO

Today, you will reach Yandabo. Well known for its historical significance as the place where the peace treaty for the first Anglo-Burmese war was signed. Day 3

PAGAN

Day 4

PAGAN

After breakfast, make our way by bus to the Tant Chi Taung Mount and see the temple near the top here. 
By afternoon we will reach to sail to Salay – a small town on the south of Bagan – that is famous for their colonial buildings and teak monastery converted to a museum. Moor on the river bank, we will leave the ship and walk to Yoke-Sone Kyaung, the teak monastery that houses many archaeological and religious artifacts. 

Day 5

MAGWE

Transfer:

Spend the day on board sailing as the ship makes its way to to Magwe.
Afterward, up to trishaws we go and visit Magwe Town and the Myatthalon Pagoda that were constructed with solid gold brick. Return back on board to continue sailing.

Day 6

MINHLA AND GWECHAUNG

This morning we reach Minhla and visit the two forts built by an Italian engineer to help defend the British during the war. Minhla was also the site a serious battle between the two forces that inspired Ruyard Kipling’s poem. Afterward you can make the hort-cart ride to the old clubhouses and golf course.

Day 7

PROME (PYAY)

If you are an early bird, you can watch the sunrise as the ship navigate this way up to Pyu. Today, we will reach Prome and proceed with a trip to Thiri-ya-kittiya – an important archaeological site of the Pyu Dynasty.

KAUKTAUNG

Today, you will pass through A Kaut Taung where you can see the Buddha carvings on the cliffside.

Day 9

DANABYU

Transfer:

Sailing through the shallow creeks of Irrawaddy Delta, we reach Donabyu – a secluded town that not many tourists have set foot on. Here you can learn the history about the defeat of the Burmese General Maha Bandoola in the first Anglo-Burmese War in 1825.

Day 10

TWANTE

The ship will traverse to the Twante Canal which is on the south east of Yangon today. Stop here, to make a visit to the Twante Town and explore. Then we make our way back to Yangon.
