Then travel south of Mandalay for approximately an hour and a half to Kyauk Se, the location of the renowned yearly Elephant-dance festival. Then, you will discover the Shinpin Tamoke Shwegu, a structure built by King Anawrahta in the 11th century and only recently unearthed in 2009; moreover, explore the temple's exquisite carvings from the eleventh century, which are among its most beautiful aspects and are virtually unique to Myanmar.
