Final stop of the morning is the Thatbyinnyu Pagoda – the tallest monument in the Bagan plain – for some photos before going back to the ship.

Finishing lunch, first place to see is Gubyaukgyi Temple of which walls are covered in incredible murals and frescos dated back the 12th century. Travel a short distance to the gilt Myazedi Stupa that contain inscriptions of old and obscure languagues (Pyu, Mon, Old Burmese and Pali). Then, visit the famous Ananda Temple which is one of the oldest temples in Bagan that still retains most of it original state and contain the four Buddha images that face north, south, east, west. Today, we start off with a trip to Kyidaw or Kyi Taung Oo to see the Shwe Za War Yaw Monastery which is one of the oldest and closest to the original state wood monastery in the country. Be amazed as you gaze into the intricate details of the sculptures and gilt wall panels. Leaving the town by tuk tuk and through the endless rice fields to reach the village of Kan. After the visit to the villages here return back on board.
AFTERNOON: Sailing
The afternoon will be spent leisurely on board as we reach Kalewa before midnight.
ENTERTAINMENT: Afternoon - Myanmar Traditional Tealeaf and Ginger Salad Demonstration. Evening - Traditional Bamboo Dance Performance by a Chin ethnic group (if available) OR In House Movie.

Day 7

KALEWA

Meals:Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

MORNING TOUR: Kalewa
Spend the morning in Kalewa with its rich history and cultures as a former trading port. Browse the local market to truly see the most authentic experience of the local people. Then take a climb up to Shwe Moat Htaw stupa for spectacular view of the town and the river. Back on board just in time for lunch.
AFTERNOON: Sailing
The afternoon will be spent leisurely on board as the ship sails to Mawlaik.
ENTERTAINMENT: Film screening (after dinner) - “The Lady Part I” Movie

Day 8

MAWLAIK

Meals:Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

MORNING TOUR: Mawlaik
After breakfast, leave the ship for Mawlaik that is not too far from the Indian Border. This town used to be a British Administrative Capital with the pleasant climate and lush teak forest surrounding. Then visit the golf course and office from the colonial era that used to be of Bombay Burmah Trading Company. After a full orientation tour we return back on board. 
AFTERNOON: Sailing
This afternoon, the ship makes the U turn back to Monywa.
ENTERTAINMENT: Film screening (after dinner) - “The Lady Part II” Movie

Day 9

SAILING (DOWNSTREAM)

The day will be spent leisurely on board as the ship sails to downstream.
ENTERTAINMENT: Morning - Buddhism and History Lecture by onboard guide Afternoon – Myanmar Traditional Cooking Demonstration

Day 10

YANDABO

Meals:Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

MORNING TOUR: Yandabo
After breakfast, we reach Yandabo, the place where the first Anglo-Burmese peace treaty was signed. What sets it apart from other villages is their famous clay water pots. Have the chance to visit a workshop and a monastery.
AFTERNOON: Sailing
The afternoon will be spent leisurely on board. The ship will reach Mandalay in the afternoon.
ENTERTAINMENT: Morning - Ship Tour; Pre-Dinner Farewell Cocktail Party with all Crew

MANDALAY

After breakfast, you will disembark from the ship at Gaw Wein Jetty at around 8:30 AM.

1. River Conditions Warning

The Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers are subject to seasonal rises and falls of water level. So that an alternative itinerary will be offered to Passenger in the case of water levels being too high or low.

Published itineraries are indication only and subject to sudden change. In such events alternative itineraries will be provided and we do our best to ensure that if a stop is missed we make up for it with another stop.

The ship’s manager and captain are jointly responsible for passengers’ comfort and safety.

Passengers must accept their decisions and instructions.

2. Deposit

To secure the booking a 30% deposit is required at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance will be made 70 days prior departure date.

If a booking is made less than 70 days, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.

3. Cancellation Terms

The cancellation notice must be received in writing either by e-mail or fax. It will be effective on the date of receipt. Cancellation charges, per person, are based upon the date of cancellation:

Up to 71 days prior to departure: Deposit will be forfeited.

From 70-35 days: 50% of cruise fare

From 34 days to “no show”: 100% of cruise fare

4. Children Policy

Up to 2 years: Complimentary in the parent/guardian’s cabin.

3-12 Years: if the child stays in the cabin with one of the parents/guardians 50% of the twin-sharing rate. Upon request we can provide an Extra Bed at US$ 90 net per bed/ night.

5. Minimum Occupancy

For all departures should the occupancy be less than 10 passengers for Short Discovery Cruise and 12 passengers for Exploration and Discovery Cruises the Company reserves the right to cancel the cruise up to 60 days prior the departure date. A confirmation notice in writing will be released by the company to all booked clients and/or their agents within the deadline. In case of cancellation an alternative cruise will be offered and if not acceptable all down payments will be immediately refunded.

6. Insurance

We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. Paukan Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.
