"My wife, myself, and friend recently visited Bagan. We have always found Bagan to be one of spectacular beauty, and should not be missed. Staying at the Aye Yar River View Resort only added to our enjoyment. We stayed in a room with a river view, and it was amazing. The view from the panoramic windows looking out onto the river was True Pleasure. They also have nice balcony. The roof is something special, with lovely landscape and gorgeous views. The grounds are perfectly maintained. Our room had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Even the bathtub had a beautiful view. The staff was well informed and helpful, even to the smallest problem. The hotel is well situated."

"I stayed for a week in this property, located conveniently inside the archaeological zone. E-bikes are available at the property for a great price ( let reception know of your interest an hour before renting so it can be charged and waiting). Minibar is stocked, air conditioning is cold, showers are hot and strong flowing. I ate in the restaurant every night, choosing meals local, Asian, and Western. Cocktails are reasonable and a great selection to choose from. The free Breakfast is either a large selection of all you can eat buffet, or a wide coook to order selection, depending on depending on how many guests are there that morning. Either way , meals were fresh and delicious. But on top of that, the courteous, professional and friendly service of every single staff I met was incredible and kept a smile on my face the entire stay. Thank you all so very much for helping make my first week in Myanmar awesome."

"Apparently, reviews were dependent on the room occupied. The problems one reviewer had didn't apply to my room. I had a comfortable large room with lots of lighting, garden patio view. The breakfast was scrumptious and even though there weren't a lot of people on the premises, low season, the buffet was set for at least 50 or more. I was quite surprised and delighted with the variety to chose from. This is a small resort with access to the river for enjoyment. The staff were very accommodating and I appreciated their attention."

"Giant room with nice wood floors snd high ceilings. Clean. Comfortable bed. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Staff is excellent, courteous and helpful. ms Lay Lay arranged transportation to Kalaw as well as local sight seeing by taxi and tuk tuk. The hotel location is great ..in old bagan. We were able to walk (early morning only... heat index 104 by 10AM) to visit temples and pagodas but not convenient for restaurants. That said the hotel Restaurant was excellent, so we ate most of our meals there. Recommend the tea leaf salad ! Took breaks from sight seeing by lying by very nice and well maintained pool."

"The hotel is the perfect place to relax after sightseeing. The location is very convenient to visit some of the main attractions in Bagan (if you are willing to walk a little bit - otherwise transportation is also not a problem). The swimming pool is great and also seeing the sunset on the river from the riverside bar is not to be missed. Everything is well maintained. Although some construction work was ongoing we never felt disturbed as they try to disturb the guests as little as possible. Breakfast is good - for lunch and dinner it’s better to go tho other places as the food is ok but not outstanding and a little bit pricy. Ebikes which are a great way to explore Bagan should better be rented at the stand opposite to the hotel as you pay half the price there."

"We spent two days at this hotel before our river cruise on the Irrawaddy - there are simply not enough good things to say about the premises and the staff... The front desk staff were absolutely professional, very friendly and competent and spoke excellent English. Of particular note were the following three ladies: Thi Thi, Hnin Hnin and Ms. Lay - anything we asked for or needed they handled without missing a beat...right down to offering us a different room because the air conditioning wasn't quite up to par and arranging transportation for us to reach our boat dock..the three of them were quite amazing. The grounds are just beautiful....a fantastic swimming pool and lovely, open air restaurant, as well as an onsite spa - one thing to note....the spa staff speak limited English and have to bring in outside staff for some of the services they provide so coordinate spa bookings with the front desk to be certain you will get what you ordered. The resort offers a happy hour ( actually two hours) every afternoon from 4:30 - 6:30..they serve drinks on the top level overlooking the Irrawaddy River and it provides the perfect opportunity for sunset lovers to go grab some photos and relax in this beautiful spot....I'm so glad we did not miss this. We had a perfectly lovely time at the resort and would not hesitate to go back....side note... the hotel is being renovated to accomodate an additional 100+ rooms.so in a year or so, it should be dramatically expanded and even more beautiful"

"We were not actually staying at this hotel in Bagan but booked to attend their advertised Christmas Eve event with the promise of some festive food and entertainment. We were not disappointed. The staff had made a big effort to ensure that this would be a special evening. The food was good, with a range of different courses and there was plenty of live entertainment A special moment for me was the children's choir from the local church singing Feliz Navidad with great enthusiasm. Well done to the staff for making us feel so welcome. Their warm and friendly approach was commendable and they looked as if they were enjoying the experience as much as we were"

"The hotel has the best location by Ayeyarwaddy river. My room was 717 on the second floor of the river building. The room was large with spacious bathroom and balcony. It was clean with full furniture and amenities. The dinner was great with complimentary puppet show. I did not have breakfast because of early departure but the hotel provided breakfast box for me. The hotel people were nice and informative. Mr. Sa Lim , assistant manager for F&B was very helpful and customer-based. I will come back"

"Impressive resorts with clean and well laid out grounds, great service, friendly reception, nice breakfast in the restaurant and in a good location. The resort has wonderful river view bar and a platform to watch the river and the goings on. You can see the boats plying from the shores in the morning and probably get a good sunrise experience. The rooms were spacious with a good bed to sleep on. Each room has a sit out patio or balcony. I liked the breakfast spread in the morning. To take tours, the front desk can set you up. The prices are reasonable. One ancient pagoda is within the resort and a couple are within walking distance outside the resort."

"I would not hesitate to recommend this resort. The service is excellent, the location great and nothing is too much trouble for any member of the staff who strive to serve you to the best of their ability. Of particular note is Mrs Lay Nwe who is the head receptionist. A wonderful lady and a pleasure to meet. Your in excellent hands no matter what your need is !"
