"Really nice hotel, clean, super friendly staff and great location. Rooms with river view, very clean and spacious. The hotel offers all facilities, spa, bike and ebike rentals at a convenient price. The location is great, inside the old bagan walls just minutes walk from the temples. "

"We’ve just completed a 5 night stay at this riverside property in Bagan. It’s my third visit to the area and a fourth for my wife. We obviously love it and this time we brought another couple with us for their first visit. We looked long and hard at all the available hotel properties near Old Bagan before settling on Bagan Thande. Good choice. We had two rooms with a garden view that were quite near the restaurant. Although we could hear the puppet show in early evening, noise was never an issue. Breakfast was buffet style with an egg station, a cereal/yoghurt bar, hot/cold food area and an assortment of fruit. Coffee and tea were a serve yourself affair, which I much prefer. Asking for a cup every time you need one is not for me. We had dinner every night at the Acacia Restaurant. They had a fairly large menu. Our group tried quite a few dishes. All were well prepared and served by charming ladies. We found the people in Myanmar to be friendly and helpful everywhere. If, like the four of us, you’re stuck trying to find a place to stay in Old Bagan, look into staying at this property. Nice people. Wonderful service. It’s the most beautiful setting under magnificent Acacia trees right by the Irrawaddy."

"The location of the hotel is great, having dinner and breakfast by the river was a nice experience. The room was big and nice, when we came it had 2 twin beds, we asked to have one double bed, the housekeeping guy made the required changes in a few minutes to our satisfection"

"I stayed at Bagan Thande Hotel (Room 1021) for just one night but I wish I could extend my stay. I arrived at 6.30am, after a long bus ride from Yangon without much sleep. Although my room wasn't ready yet, I am extremely grateful that the staff let me use the shower facilities so I can freshen up before I set off for a full day Bagan tour. The shower pressure is decent and the bed is firm, great for a restful sleep after a full day tour. WiFi connection is excellent everywhere. I also tried the hotel breakfast buffet (10USD) which is fairly simple but sufficient to kickstart the day. The dinner a la carte menu features a good variety of Western & Asian cuisine. I tried the Fish Curry which is really yummy. Special shout-out to the male waiter who reccomended a spicier version. The weather was chilly but I felt much so better after dinner. The hotel ground is really beautiful with a pub by the Riverside. I strongly recommend that you enjoy sunset at the pub which is a far better experience than braving the crowd at the popular sunset/sunrise spot. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe in this hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to Bagan. Tips: There are cute little frogs around the hotel ground. Please do not step on them. Taxi from Bus Station to hotel cost 12,000 kyat (arranged on my own) Tuk Tuk to Jetty cost 10,000 kyat (arranged by hotel)."

"I stayed with my friends for the third time at this hotel, for me the best in Bagan. The location is excellent, one can see important Pagods by walk and visit the Museum, rentals of E-Bikes etc. are just around the corner. We choose the garden deluxe rooms as the rooms facing directly the river are very noisy early morning from dawn onwards due to the boat traffic on the river. Avoid the room 2023 as the outdoor kitchen is just at the side and its noisy. The breakfast is very good, while sitting under the shadow of a huge Arcadia-Tree one can enjoy the view of the river. In the evening they offer a complimentary puppet show and harp concert, which is worth to attend. The food was very good. The Spa is also very good with reasonable rates compared to other hotels. It is wonderful to swim in the pool after a long day of visits. Many thanks to the whole staff who was always attentive and very friendly. We shall definitely come again to this lovely place."

"We greatly enjoyed our four-night stay here in a Deluxe River View room. I can't really fault anything. The location of the hotel was perfect being located in Old Bagan itself and it was close to a lot of temples. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything you would expect to be provided - the view out onto the Irrawaddy River from our veranda was breathtaking with amazing sunsets. The hotel grounds were beautiful in a garden setting. The restaurant had a beautiful view of the river and set under a massive tree - which when lit up at night was quite magical. The swimming pool was fine and good place to relax and cool off after a day of exploring. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful - the restaurant maitre d' in particular was outstanding he worked very hard, nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely helpful. The hotel offered E-bike rental which was very convenient and we took advantage of this every day - 5,000 Kyat for four hours, 9,000 Kyat for all day. One tip - the kitchen here struggles to cope with a large volume of diners, so best to reserve a table in advance and pre-order your food and it is ready for you at the requested time."

"Located in old Bagan, you can easily scoot around with your scooter to visit all the temples nearby. You can hire it from the hotel. Good breakfast and the restaurant by the river serves good lunch and dinner. And it is a good place to see the sunset over the river. Not forget to mention how lovely and friendly all the staff in the hotel from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Kudo to them, always be there and willing to serve. Highly recommended."
