"The hotel setting is fantastic offering a panoramic view over the river. Amazing over sunset ! The hotel property is made of authentic Temples ... just amazing ! We got an upgrade to Junior Suite, very spacious and nice, the only down side was that it was a bit dark. The location nearby the Temples makes it a great spot for anyone willing to make the most of the time visiting Temples. The staff is very nice and the breakfast quite good. The setting of the breakfast area along the river is one of the main reason you should at least spend a night there!"

"Stunning boutique-style hotel full of distinctive Burmese character yet with all the comforts you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. The breakfast terrace overlooking the Irrawaddy is breathtaking and the gardens are exquisitely landscaped and beautifully lit at night by hanging lanterns with antique pony carts and Burmese parasols strategically placed for added effect. Perhaps the most impressive feature though are the 2 ancient pagodas located within the grounds of the hotel itself."

"Probably the best sunset in Bagan and the fact that it has its own stupas set in beautiful gardens is a real plus. Nice pool although it was a bit too cold to use it. Very good staff. Good food in the restaurant and good breakfast. The rooms are nice but perhaps a bit old. The WiFi is not very good But for location and the beautiful gardens it's worth the 5 stars."

"We loved it here and booked a further night. Had a riverside room which was great watching the river and most amazing sunsets. Food is good and the grounds are really well tended. There are follies in the gardens ase there are all over Bagan. Pool is super cold. ! Staff really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it if going to Bagan as it’s well situated in the old town for walks out to Temples galore. Electric mopeds opposite are £3 a day and well worth a go for exploring the surrounding temples. Fabulous time, sad to leave!"

"This hotel was a joy to stay in. The landscaping and the grounds are lush and beautiful, and the architecture is so detailed and full of character. Our room was nice, with free waters and Myanmar tea. I called housekeeping once and they answered and delivered right away. The bathroom fixtures could use some maintenance or upgrades, but that was my only complaint. Overall, I enjoyed this garden paradise in such a nice location in Bagan."

"I highly recommend a trip to Bagan before the UNESCO status transforms it into a Siem Reap with 2M visitors a year. The Bagan Hotel River View hotel is in an amazing location. Dinner overlooking the Ayeyarwaddy River was tremendous. The rooms are very nice and an incredible value. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection of local food. The staff was very nice and spoke English."

"Staying here made my time in Bagan so enjoyable and cozy. The rooms were amazing, clean, and the resort itself has a gorgeous view of the River. There are also two structures like thousand year old ruins on the property draped with vines and a canopy through which you walk to the restaurant on the river. It feels like a small paradise. Also, the staff are so kind and helpful. One receptionist named Khaing Marlar was a main reason why my trip to Bagan turned out so well. When I first arrived I didn't know what to do and wasn't familiar with the area at all, and she gave me amazing recommendations that I wouldn't have found on TripAdvisor or elsewhere. It was clear she really cared that my stay would be as enjoyable as I had hoped. When I come back to Bagaan I will certainly stay here again."

"The Bagan River View Hotel is located in a great location close to Old Bagan Temples and also the Archeological Museum. The hotel is set in a lovely garden setting with breakfast overlooking the river. We were provided with an upgrade so our room was spacious. The pool is a great way to cool off at the end of a hot day after sightseeing."

"Beautiful hotel with extensive gardens, flowering shrubs, many chirping birds, restaurant facing the Irrawaddy River, beautiful sunsets over Irrawaddy and to top them we were surprised to find a dilapidated pagoda and a 12th century Pagoda with a serene Buddha statue on its premises. We have not seen such relics in a hotel compound. We had a room with views of the river and the room reminiscent o Bagan pagoda architecture. The amenities were above average. The highlight was the courteous staff. I want to specially mention Mr.Kyaw Kyan Htike at the front desk who was extremely helpful to make me make a call to set right a crisis situation."

"Of course, the name of the hotel hints at a wonderful view of the river - and this is exactly so - but the main feature is that the hotel has ancient buildings, including pagodas! Wooden houses are very comfortable. The restaurant offers a wide view of the river. The kitchen is very pleasant - adapted to the European taste."
