"Though the hotel outlook is not outstanding, but the rooms are big, clean and neat, also come with excellent and impressive view from my balcony. I will come back again because of the staff and I must say the hotel is very lucky to have very hardworking and service oriented staff. They give us a warm welcoming and very helpful and always ready to be at your service. I wish the management will reward MR SMILEY and one more gentle who spend time to introduce Yangon to me. MR SMILEY has taken care of all my needs like where to eat, place to go, giving the all the advise to make my stay enjoyable. His attending to all my needs makes me feel at home. He should be rewarded and recognised by Hotel Management being such excellent staff. I will remember them and miss staying with you. Thank you for such wonderful time."

"Across a noisy street from Kandawgyi Lake, above the din of crows and honky taxi horns, are the settling rooms of the ELVH and its superb restaurant for breakfast. Are the views from the 9th floor venue worth the room rate? Not alone, however when I was last in RGN in 2016 the 9th played out only slightly better than now. But therein lies the issue with what’s happened since. In the lobby a document establishes the ELVH as a 2016 top hotel. No doubt - the reviews you’ll read here are not unfavorable for October 2019 (we agree) - yet in only three years many other hotels have been built and the competition is fierce for tourists’ dollars (USD, preferred). I can’t be certain whether maintenance costs are deferred on hotels when occupancy rates are low; or what it takes to maintain the human spirit as a doorman or desk woman during the rainy season’s limited guest list; or what it takes to be the hotel reader of TA reviews when we guest writers report that our rooms smell too much of air freshener while torrential rains wash away townships. Hotel structures settle and water doesn’t always drain in the shower like we want it too. We are but guests after all."

"The house keeping in the Esperado Lake View Hotel Yangon was absolutely wonderful. I would like to thank Ei Shwe Zin and Thandar Lwin for their excellent work. Everyday they would come in and thoroughly clean our room making sure we were very comfortable after a long day out. Also they always made sure our fridge was stocked with water and all the condiments for the bathroom were changed when we used them. Yours Thankfully, Caesar and Cara"

"The hotel is delightful. We arrived tired and exhausted after our flight and were relieved to find the hotel so comfortable and welcoming. The hotel has modern decor with marble bathroom and high quality furnishings. The restaurant bar on the 9th floor is an ideal spot to overlook the lake and enjoy the scenic view. In the distance you can see the Royal Pergoda. Breakfast offered a wide variety for different cultures, with fresh fruit, cereal, fruit juice and plenty of hot food. Shame we only had one night here, I would have enjoyed a longer stay."

"I stayed at this hotel for three nights for a workshop. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is served on the rooftop with a huge variety of Asian and western foods. There is a wonderful view across the lake to the Golden Pagoda (Schwedagon). The conference facilities were good and the staff helpful at all times. Excellent value."

"Well... more positive than a few negatives... The location of this hotel and high floor lake view rooms are worth every penny. Breakfast spread is okay and will fill up. Servers need to be more motivated and anticipated, not just as a duty but need a push:) Housekeeping does good jobs in details, front desk staffs are amazing. Alcohols are abit on pricy side but hey... with the view I can’t really complains. Although, the facility is a bit old with lack of maintenance, is a shame, as usual in Myanmar; I would seriously consider this .hotel for next visit"

"We stayed in a room overlooking the lake and Shwedagon Pagoda. The view and the room were stunning. The hotel has a high level of cleanliness and service. The concierge was helpful at all times. The breakfast offers a fine selection of Burmese food exquisite. The only suggestion that I would make is that the check-in could be more efficient."

"I stayed at the Esperado Lakeview hotel for 4 nights. The room i booked was the city view. It was a very spacious and clean room. Our check-in was almost instantaneous. When we arrived at the hotel the room was ready with a cot and an extra bed placed in the room. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. The breakfast spread was also very good with a mix of local and continental options. The location of the hotel is perfect, away from the noisy downtown but well within reach. The amenities offered are in par with other hotels of its class. The view of Karweik Lake from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking. P.s. Be careful, i had to pay $5 for a berry stain on their bedsheet! No complaints. Definitely recommend this hotel."
