"It's almost located downtown. You can walk easily to the town hall. China town of yangon is very busy , nearly foul of shopping and street food. The hotel rooms are very clean, and cozy . Breakfast on roof top was served buffet style , really good ! Staff is always smiling and helpful. If you smoke you must always go down to the street. Just pick this hotel if you want to stay in the heart of China town ."

"Great staff, especially the boys downstairs who help you with your luggage and find a taxi. Breakfast is very good. The bathroom was a bit outdated and moldy. Unfortunately there was no possibility for a late check out..."

"Super friendly staff English easily spoken. Breakfast mix of Asian and European. Good location in the busy Chinatown area. The city wakes up at 7am and wakes you up too. By 11pm, it's sleeping. The rooms are modern, fridges, kettle AC TV and good linen. There are two hotels named Grand Untd in close proximity easily mixed up."

"The staffs of hotel are very helpful. They know how to meet the requirement of clients. For example, I could not have breakfast in the morning in order to catch a flight early in the morning. The hotel management prepared a breakfast box. Their service is impressive."

"I really enjoyed staying I had at the hotel. There were very polite staffs and like a heaven's bed available. Especially, I deeply appreciate the kindness of the hotel entrance staff who found and kept my valuables in despite of busy time. He was very professional in dealing it so swiftly. I was happily able to wrap up my trip till end owing to his help. I am eager to stay your hotel next time when I come back to Yangon :)"

"Check In: We arrived too early so they asked us if we can go back around 1pm. We went out for lunch and when we went back at 1pm our room was ready. Penthouse: the Penthouse Suite is the only one of its kind. It has a seperate entrance which you need a seperate Key to open. You must lock it whenever you leave or are inside as other guests might go inside. The Hallway to the Suite is a bit narrow but it was no problem for us. The Suite is a bit small but it was nothing big as it was very comfortable. It had a Queen Size bed, seperate living room with its own TV. The bedroom also had its own TV. The Bathroom was small but the toilet had a Bidet. I really liked the Penthouse Suite as it was really comfortable, it felt like home plus the outdoor seating was a big plus. You also see the Sule Pagoda from the Penthouse. Breakfast: Was surprised at the breakfast as it was delicious. Particularly like the Congee. Staff: Very friendly and Helpful. Check Out: amazingly fast. I just handed the key and everything was okay. Overall: The Hotel Grand United is a small Hotel. Its location was central, it was near shops, restaurants and attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Penthouse Suite was just amazing."

"I chose Hotel Grand United Chinatown as it is located near Himalaya Airlines Yangon Branch Office. I was going to Himalaya Airlines to collect its inflight magazine. The hotel has excellent views of Yangon Chinatown and the city's famous pagoda and mosque. Complimentary breakfast tastes delicious. Please note there are no free return airport transfers to this hotel but the hotel staff are excellent. One of the staff wrote the addresses of the airlines' offices in Burmese for me and emailed to me in Singapore prior to my arrival so that I could reach the offices successfully without delays. On the day of check-out, I forgot to take my raincoat with me. Their driver brought me back to the hotel to collect my raincoat free of any further transport charge. If I ever wanted to visit the city centre's airline offices, I will stay in Hotel Grand United Chinatown absolutely."

"I stayed in this hotel twice in two different rooms in a span of one week. In the first time I arrived very early at 11:00 am and, although check-in time is 2:00 pm, staff allowed me at 11:00 am, as a room was available. Natural light has access to the guest rooms and that was my first priority. I liked their welcome fruit platter. In the past I did not get such a treat from other, more expensive hotels in the area. Complimentary breakfast is good. My guest room had all amenities that I needed, including a kettle and plenty of complimentary drinking water bottles and tea/coffee sachets. I liked the wall clock, which gave me a feel that I am in my home. The internet connectivity is good. I only wish that they had a built in wall light in the desk area. Upon my request, the hotel provided me with a desk lamp. That was very useful for my work and I profusely thank the hotel for this gesture. The hotel tariff is relatively less than other hotels in the area and it is value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful."
